Victims of domestic violence often flee abusive situations with little more than the clothes on their backs. At HELP of Door County, our primary concern is always the safety and well-being of everyone who comes our way.
Last year, with your help, we were able to:
- Serve 234 unique clients compared to 149 the previous year;
- Provided 134 bed nights compared to 95 the previous year and
- Fielded 588 Hotline calls compared to 329 the previous year
Through the generosity of our community, we are able to operate a 24/7/365 HELPLINE for anyone in a domestic abuse situation (1-800-91-HELP-1). HELP of Door County provides emergency overnite shelter through our SAFE HOME Program to victims of domestic violence who need to immediately flee violent domestic situations. Last year, our Transitional Living Program provided case management services and over $18,000 in rental assistance to domestic violence victims and their families. We provided more than $25,000 in transportation vouchers, gas cards and food/general merchandise giftcards to victims. We are incredibly grateful for all you do to support our good work!
