October is Domestic Violence Awareness Month

According to a CDC survey, 20 Americans experience intimate partner physical violence every minute. That totals around 10 million victims per year. Since 1989, National Domestic Violence Awareness Month is recognized each October through educational events, community gatherings, and support groups. At HELP of Door County we invite our community to join with us on Wednesday, October 2nd at 4 pm at the Sawyer Park Pavilion in Sturgeon Bay and learn about our work because we believe that domestic violence victims “never have to walk alone”!
